Resumo

The species of Paniscomima of continental Africa are revised and two new species are described: Paniscomima kilombero sp. n. from Tanzania and P. mulanje sp. n. from Malawi. Both new species differ from the hitherto known continental African Paniscomima in having the junction of Cu and 2cu-a thickened or nodular (not thickened or nodular in P. erlangeriana) and the lateral ocellus distad from the eye by at least 0.3 × its longitudinal diameter (less than 0.2 × in P. erlangeriana). The two new species can be separated by the forewing Rs-M-ratio which is less than 1.9 in P. kilombero and about 2.7 in P. mulanje. Angola, Botswana, Kenya and Zimbabwe are recognized as new country records for P. erlangeriana. A key for the continental African species of Paniscomima, photos of the new species, drawings of diagnostic characters and a distribution map are provided. (© 2011 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
