The phase relationships in the La–Ti–Sn ternary system at 473 K

Resumo

The isothermal section of the La–Ti–Sn ternary system at 473 K has been investigated mainly by means of X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) with the aid of scanning electron microscope (SEM) and optical microscopy (OM). The binary compound, Ti2Sn3, is confirmed and no ternary compounds are found in this work. There are 10 binary compounds in the system, which are La5Sn3, La5Sn4, LaSn, La3Sn5, and LaSn3, Ti3Sn, Ti2Sn, Ti5Sn3, Ti6Sn5 and Ti2Sn3.
