ResumoThe solubility isotherm of the CdCl2CH3OHH2O system at 20°C was investigated using Raman spectroscopy. A new additional band was recorded in the region of the CdCl4 vibrations, due to the presence of methanol in the Cd2+ environment. Special attention was paid to the changes in the νCO band profile at different concentrations. Information about the bonds formed between the molecules of the solvent as well as about the influence of the salt on their strength was obtained.
