Resumo

Diffusion coefficients for He-Ne, He-Ar, and 3He-4He systems have been measured as a function of temperature using a two-bulb method. The theory of the method has been developed to account for the removal of samples of nonnegligible volume for concentration analysis. The temperature range for the experimental values of the diffusion coefficients for 3He-4He has been extended to 900°K. The results of this investigation agree well with values in the literature and exhibit good mutual consistency with other transport properties. Theoretical diffusion coefficients also show reasonable agreement with the present results.
