Resumo

Near-resonant scattering of a pulsed laser beam by strontium atoms is studied. The spectral distribution of the scattered radiation has been measured and compared with the spectrum calculated from the dressed-state picture of the laser-atom interaction in the adiabatic approximation. The experimental results are well described by taking into account the temporal and spatial distribution of the laser intensity.
