ResumoAbstract Na 4 P 2 S 7 , Na 2 FeP 2 S 7 , and Ag 4 P 2 S 7 were prepared by elemental synthesis at high temperatures and were characterized by vibration spectra and differential thermal analysis (DTA). A normal coordinate analysis was performed for P 2 S 4− 7 . Additional vibration frequencies indicate the presence of the decathiotriphosphate anion P 3 S 5− 10 . The formation of higher thiophosphates of the type P n S (n+2)‐ 3n+1 with n ≥ 4 cannot be excluded.
