Resumo

In the Central-South region of Paraná, an agro-forestry system called faxinal can be found.In a general sense, such a land-use type is composed of two different areas, the "terras de criar" (grazing areas) and the "terras de plantar" (planting areas), which are separated by fences or ditches.Though nearly all faxinals consist of such a dual structure, they are internally characterized by a high variety of features.The main purpose of this research is to present some characteristics inherent to the Faxinal Saudade Santa Anita, located in the municipality of Turvo/
