Materials and Methods: The records of 3 boys and 1 girl 4 months to 4 years old with multicystic kidney and documented systolic hypertension leading to nephrectomy were reviewed. Results: Blood pressure normalized after surgery in 2 patients and remained persistently elevated in the other 2. Conclusions: Children with multicystic dysplastic kidney should be screened for hypertension. Nephrectomy resolves hypertension in some patients with multicystic kidney.
