Abstract This paper describes a microcomputer based software package for the assessment of additive multiattribute value functions. Emphasis is given to the description of procedures used by the package to estimate value function parameters. A special feature of the package is the availability of two alternative procedures for parameter estimation. These include a version of the midvalue splitting technique combined with indifference assessments and a version of the SMART technique. The package represents an attempt to make decision theory more accessible to practicing managers by exploiting the relatively recent widespread availability of microcomputers.
