ResumoDuring 2 months of the year 1980, several species of gelatinous macrozooplankton were collected by hand in the Bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer (France). Twenty-seven different species were found and among them 6 were parasitized, the parasites belonging to 6 species of hyperiid amphipods. For one species (Hyperoche mediterranea Senna) descriptions of the various stages of development are given and the relation between host size, number of parasites and number of broods is investigated. For this species there exist 8 stages of development (4 larval and 4 post-larval), each with well-distinct characters. The host size of Lam;betia pancerina Chun is correlated with the number of parasites which it can support, as well as with the number of broods deposited per host.
