ResumoIn this chapter, I shall concentrate on all of the cutaneous manifestations of dermatomyositis (DM), including approaches to treatment. By definition, polymyositis (PM) does not have a skin rash. Most patients with the typical skin findings of DM also have evidence of myopathy, but there are some patients who present with the characteristic eruption but without evidence of muscle disease (dermatomyositis siné myositis).
