ResumoTooth hypersensitivity to various stimuli is an age-old complaint. The exact causes and their physiological mechanisms are not well understood. It is probable that a transient derangement of pulpal sensory nerves is involved. In this article, results of many years of animal and human electrophysiological experiments of pulpal sensory nerve activity are reported.
