Resumo

The phase diagrams of the La–Cu–Pb and Ce–Cu–Pb systems were constructed using X-ray phase analysis. Three ternary compounds LaCuPb [LiGaGe structure type, space group P63mc, a=4.6674(4) Å, c=7.9663(5) Å], ∼La2Cu2Pb (unknown structure) and La5CuPb3 [Hf5CuSn3 structure type, space group P63/mcm, a=9.560(2) Å, c=7.023(2) Å] exist in the La–Cu–Pb system at 670 K. The formation of the compounds CeCuPb [LiGaGe structure type, space group P63mc, a=4.6581(4) Å, c=7.7793(6) Å] and Ce5CuPb3 [Hf5CuSn3 structure type, space group P63/mcm, a=9.551(2) Å, c=6.776(2) Å] was observed in the Ce–Cu–Pb system at 670 K.
