Resumo

The study was based on biological assays (stimulation or inhibition of lipolysis) done with isolated human fat cells in association with simultaneous radioligand ([3H]yohimbine) binding studies on fat cell membranes. It was demonstrated that (−)-adrenaline, as opposed to (−)-noradrenaline, is the major stimulant of human fat cell α2-adrenoceptors. In adipose tissue the α2-adrenoceptors are located postsynaptically and even extrasynaptically.
