Resumo

A zoonosis is a disease of animals that can be transmitted to humans. Many of the feline zoonoses occur more frequently in veterinary personnel owing to their direct contact with cats and the potential for exposure to infected body tissues or fluids. This article is an update on selected important or emerging felineassociated human illnesses that occur in the United States.
