DEL (2010) European Journal of Cancer Care19, 699–700 Transient response of cardiac angiosarcoma to paclitaxel Malignant tumours of the heart are a group of tumours with low incidence but very high mortality. Delays in diagnosis are common because of their multiple forms of presentation, and 80% present with metastases, further reducing the possibility for cure. We present here the case of a patient with primary cardiac angiosarcoma that highlights the misdiagnosis at clinical presentation, current diagnostic modalities and a possible new treatment using paclitaxel for cardiac angiosarcoma.
