Abstract A new triterpene glycoside, 2 α ,3 β ,19 α -trihydroxyurs-12-ene-23,28-dioic acid-28- O -(6′- O -methyl- β - d -glucopyranosyl) ester and a new triterpene derivative, 24- O -butyl-2 α ,3 β ,19 α ,24-tetrahydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid, together with six known compounds, have been isolated from the aerial parts of Rubus pungens Camb. var oldhamii . The structures of these compounds were established mainly by spectroscopic methods.
