ResumoViruses were removed from various types of water by flocculation with natural bentonite clays from the banks of the Nile as well as with pure bentonite. The flocculation technique employed corresponds to that used to clarify Nile water in Sudanese villages. If proper flocculation occurred 3 to 4 log10 units of virus could be removed. Some of the conditions for floc formation were examined.
