ResumoSummary. Four commercially available, battery operated, unipolar electric pulp testers were tested and compared under identical laboratory conditions. The form and duration of the electrical impulses varied considerably between the instruments as did the maximum output voltage. None of the models tested passed constant current values when connected to a range of resistances.
