Zusammenfassung In einer aufeinanderfolgenden Serie sollen etwa 100 Tanytarsini aus der Neotropis beschrieben werden. Die Mehrzahl der in Südamerika vorkommenden Arten dieses Tribus ist endemisch und gehört zu endemischen Artengruppen der Gattung Tanytarsus s.1. oder solchen, die ihr nahestehen. In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden vier neue Arten, Tanytarsus branquini, T. cuieirensis, T. cururui und T. riopreto beschrieben und als riopreto‐Gruppe der Gattung Tanytarsus dargestellt. Ihr bisher bekanntes Verbreitungsgebiet erstreckt sich auf die elektrolytarmen Gewässer des amazonischen Tieflandes. Resumo Em uma série consecutiva cêrca de loo Tanytarsini da Região Neotropica deverão ser descritos. A maioria das espécies desta tribo ocurrentes na América do Sul é endêmica e pertence a grupos endémicos específicos do gênero Tanytarsus s.1. ou a outros que lhe estão próximos. No presente trabalho são descritas quatro novas espécies, Tanytarsus bmnquini, T. cuieirensis, T. cururui e T. riopreto e apresentadas como grupo riopreto do gênero Tanytarsus. A sua área de distribuiçao até agora conhecida abrange a região das águas pobres em eletrólitos da planície amazônica. Summary In a consecutive sequence about 100 Tanytarsini of the neotropics are to be described. The majority of the species to be found in South America of this tribus is endemic and belongs to the endemic group of species of the genus Tanytarsus s.1. or to such which are close to it. In the work under consideration four new species, Tanytarsus branquini, T. cuieirensis, T. cururui, and T. riopreto, are described and presented as riopreto‐group of the genus Tanytarsus.
