Resumo

The first nine structure factors of aluminum have been measured on an absolute scale by symmetric x-ray reflection from cold-worked powder pellets. The polarization ratio of the monochromator was measured using the scattering at 90\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} in $2\ensuremath{\theta}$ from a perfect Ge crystal. The sample absorption was also measured directly on pressed pellets. The final results confirm the existence of a solid-state effect for the low-order reflections, and show excellent agreement with the free-atom relativistic Hartree-Fock calculation for high-order reflections.
