ResumoAbstract - These two calareous islands show a strong morphologic opposition between windward and leeward shorelines. Great cliffs (dead or being rejuvenated), and a low coralline terrace dated by Th/U method, have been shaped during Eemian. Being exposed to great swells, windward coasts have a special present morphology : occurence of a platform with pits within the strand zone ; many beach- rocks in front of everywhere recessing beaches ; proliferation of calcareous alguae which build breakers. Lack of present fringing coral reefs may be explained by recent features of flandrian transgression.
