Asymmetric Hydrogenation and Catalysis

In order to use radioactive rhodium N-heterocyclic carbene (Rh NHC) complexes for possible cancer therapy, it is required to start with RhCl3·xH2O, a synthesis not previously accomplished. We have successfully synthesized and characterized two new Rh (NHC) complexes starting from RhCl3·xH2O via a silver transfer mechanism.
