Resumo

A method for the solution of the two-electron problem in a strong magnetic field is presented that combines the well-known hyperspherical close-coupling and finite element methods and applied to helium in a magnetic field of up to ${10}^{5}$ T, giving energy levels of low-lying $S$ and $P$ states up to a principal quantum number of $n=4$ as well as wavelengths of selected transitions.
