ResumoMusica Viva is a vital part of Australia's immigrant history, which was founded by the hard work of central and southern European refugees. It gave voice to those people who are unheard in traditional histories. Musica Viva offered a comforting image of the continuing strength of western culture to an anxious post-war Australia and also contributed to consolidation of the urban sophisticate as an Australian identity.
