Resumo

This text provides students with the fundamentals of nutrition science, the practical applications based upon these fundamentals, and tools to implement these applications. This book considers a comprehensive range of nutrition and diet therapy subjects and includes such teaching aids as case studies, definitions of terms highlighted in margins, bibliographic references, and tables providing information on nutritive value of foods, recommended intake of nutrients, normal physical growth and development, and sample forms for diet history and nutritional assessment.
