ResumoMycoplasma hominis was isolated from two patients with infected wounds following open reduction of fractured mandibles . The significance of these organisms in wound infections is discussed . Mucoplasma hominis, unlike other human mycoplasmas, can be cultured in a diagnostic bacteriology laboratory using standard bacteriological methods .
