ResumoBy phase fluorometry, the fluidity of bilayers is characterized by a static and a dynamic parameter. A comparative study of vesicles prepared with polyglycerol monoalkylethers and polyethoxylated analogues shows that the fluidity is not only affected by hydrocarbon chain length but also by polar head structure.
