Lanthanide and Transition Metal Complexes

Three maleimide derivatives of the anticancer drug paclitaxel that incorporate an acid-sensitive carboxylic hydrazone linker were prepared and coupled to bifunctional PEGs (MW 20,000 g/mol). The conjugates showed in vitro activity in three human cancer lines in the low micromolar range.
