Resumo

Abstract The study of the compensation effect applied in the domains of reaction rate constant as well as of time‐to‐failure in thermal endurance characterization of insulating materials is developed in the paper. In particular, the compensation effect is defined on the basis of both Arrhenius and Eyring relationships, and new life models are consequently derived. It is found that for the whole amount of investigated materials both models fit very well the experimental results and then are valid for material characterization.
