ResumoAdiponectin, an adipocyte-derived protein with insulin-sensitizing, anti-diabetic and anti-atherogenic activities, is known to be induced during adipocyte differentiation. Nobiletin, a citrus polymethoxy flavonoid, was found to induce the differentiation of ST-13 preadipocytes into mature adipocytes and enhance the production of adiponectin protein at a concentration of 10 μM.
