ResumoAbstract Six patients with epilepsy and severe psychosis were treated with the atypical antipsychotic clozapine. The use of clozapine might be complicated in epileptic patients because of an increased risk of seizures. However, none of the reported patients had an increase of their seizure frequency, in contrast, three patients had a substantial reduction of seizures. One patient had a reduction of non‐epileptic seizures as well. In the second part of this paper, combinations of clozapine with newer and older anticonvulsants as well as their interactions and associated risks are discussed.
