Resumo

In this paper, a new design of frequency hopping sequences (FHSs) setswith low hit zone (LHZ) is presented based on interleaving technique. The key idea of the new design is to use short FHSs withgood Hamming correlation together with certain appropriate shiftsequences to construct a set of long FHSs with LHZ. By the newdesign, new sets of FHSs meeting the Peng-Fan-Leebound are obtained. It is shown that all the sequences in theproposed FHS sets are shift distinct. The proposed FHS sets aresuitable for quasi-synchronous frequency hopping code divisionmultiple access systems to eliminate multiple-access interference.
