ResumoA rare entity that causes congenital mitral regurgitation is an isolated cleft mitral valve. The cleft in the mitral valve can be seen in either the anterior or posterior leaflet of the valve. We present a unique case of an individual with a history of congenital mitral regurgitation caused by a cleft in both the anterior and posterior leaflets of the mitral valve.
