ResumoIn this work we searched for identifying the characters’ outfit of the film Caramuru, the invention of Brazil (2000), by Guel Arraes, and demonstrating that the historical costume is, many times, exhibited in a remissive way and without any order indicating to other distant spaces and times of the period dealt. We observe then the visual expression of a Brazil which historical data is deconstructed. Some theoretical-methodological possibilities are appointed as a contribution to the study of media’s products costume.
