ResumoAbstract When subjects in a fixed fore-period reaction time task are presented with a repetitive stimulus that is terminated by the manual response made to it, the contingent negative variations following the warning stimulus will be of greater magnitude than when a single stimulus, over which the subject has no control, is used. It is suggested that different levels of motivation are involved in these two conditions.
