Resumo

Nuclear resonant excitation of 57Fe ions in a hydrochloric acid solution has been observed successfully for the first time by the use of a pulsed source of synchrotron radiation with a time-resolved detection system. The experimental results can be interpreted in term of the concept of recoiled nuclear resonance and dynamics of atomic motions in a solution. It has thus been proven that synchrotron radiation studies of nuclear resonance phenomena can be performed not only in the solid state, but also in liquid and gas states.
