ResumoPermanent ACTH implants (USP Reference Standard and synthetic β1-24- corticotrophin) into the median eminence significantly depress blood corticosterone levels in the rat, suggesting that a "short" feedback loop might link synthesis and/or release of ACTH to pre-existing levels of the hormone.
