ResumoThis article takes a praxeological look at a series of physics classes (course material, class work and exercise correction) with 17-18 year old pupils specialized in the sciences in a prestigious secondary school in France. The content concerned dealt with the beginning of a chapter on electricity and was taught by a highly experienced teacher. The article provides a description of the support-studies workshop set up by the teacher and the way she constantly attempted to optimise class time through the methodological use of her professional experience. Her main objective is to get the best out of her pupils so they might enter into the ever sought-after “ classes préparatoires” (very high level 1st and 2nd year university courses) integrated into the school’s secondary system and which is a part of the schools policy.
