ResumoWe measure the nuclear specific heat, nuclear magnetic susceptibility, and nuclear magnetic resonance of In nuclei in AuI${\mathrm{n}}_{2}$ at $30\ensuremath{\mu}\mathrm{K}\ensuremath{\le}T\ensuremath{\le}10$ mK and $2\ensuremath{\le}B\ensuremath{\le}115$ mT. The nuclei perform a nuclear ferromagnetic transition at ${T}_{c}\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}=\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}35\ensuremath{\mu}\mathrm{K}$. This is the first observation of a spontaneous nuclear magnetic transition in a not-hyperfine-enhanced metal at thermal equilibrium ${T}_{\mathrm{nuclear}}{\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}=\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}T}_{\mathrm{electron}}$. The In nuclei experience an internal field of 7 mT. The transition temperature ${T}_{c}$ and the internal field depend on the applied field. In addition, we observe a temperature- and field-dependent spin-spin relaxation time.
