During the last three years, the Arcabuz‐Culebra Field has been developed with great success, with 58 delineation and development wells drilled as a result of 2-D seismic characterization studies. Later, when 3-D seismic was integrated to the characterization studies, the structural compartmentalization of the field was defined with accuracy, which helped to decrease the risk of missing the reservoir due to faults, and allowed the drilling of another 12 successful wells.
