ResumoAbstract Trans isomerization of monoenoic and dienoic fatty acid methyl esters has been carried out with thiols and diphenylphosphine in the presence of azobisisobutylnitrile. The equilibrium mixture contained 75–80% trans double bonds and there was no migration of the double bonds.
