Resumo

The sighting of Sphyrna zygaena (Linnaeus, 1758) based on the capture of a specimen in the bay of San Antonio (33º35'S) and a specimen of Echinorhinus cookei Pietschmann, 1928 captured to the west of the coast of Santo Domingo (33º35'S).The former case, the known geographic distribution is increased from region to the north to San Antonio, in central Chile and in the alter, a fifth sighting is noted for the species in Chilean waters, confirming its presence in the central region of Chile.
