Resumo

Synthesis and characterization of six-coordinate chromium(II) complexes with the ligands pyrazole (pz), imidazole (iz), N-methylimidazole (Nmiz) having the general formula CrL4X2 (X = Cl, Br, I) and CrL2Cl2 (L = pz, Nmiz) are reported. With the ligands 3,5-dimethylpyrazole (dmpz) CrL2Cl2 and CrL3Br2 derivatives have been obtained. On the basis of spectral and magnetic data a trans octahedral structure is assigned to the above complexes. Those with a 2:1 ligand to metal ratio are weakly antiferromagnetic and possess a polymeric chlorine bridged structure.
