Resumo

A pollen diagram is presented from a crater lake in central western Italy. Eight pollen zone are established, showing fluctuations between a steppe and a more closed vegetation. The steppe vegetation presumably developed under a cool and dry climate. The diagram probably covers the period from the Early Würm Brørup Interstadial to Late Holocene Subboreal times.
