ResumoDromius bakeri ABDULLAH, a new species of the Lebiini (Carabidae) is described from the KLEBS collection of the Baltic amber of eastern Prussia. The extinct species has some similarities with the modern species of Dromuis bonelli from the Oriental region. The specimen described in this paper comes from the collection of the late Dr. Richard KLEBS who listed amber pieces representing the following genera of the Carabidae in his collection as identified by Dr. E. REITTER (KLEBS, 1910). Acupalpus 1, Agonum 1, Amara 1, Apristus 1, Balius or Trechus 1, Bradycellus 1, Calathus 3, Dromius 20, Dyschirius 2, Lagarus 1, Lebia 1, near Lebia 1, Metabletus 7, Nebria 3, Ophonus 1, Platynus 4, near Platynus 3, near Polystichus 1, Pterostichus 5, near Pterostichus 1, Trechus 7, genus not palaearctic 1, genus not european 1, tropical genus 1, genus with totally strange form 1 and undetermined genus 2. Altogether there were 72 specimens and 20 belonged to the genus Dromius, one of which is described in this paper. The present location of the remaining 19 specimens of Dromius is unknown.
