Diaspora, migration, transnational identity

Taking as reference Brazilian women in the transnational sex industry, in this text I consider how anthropology might contribute in the debate about migration and prostitution. In the first section I explore the tensions among the national, international e transnational logics that inform policies directed towards these migrants. In the second section I draw a counterpoint between those logics and sex workers perceptions. Finally, I comment on anthropology's potential contribution in this debate.
