Resumo

The paper compares the consolidation of dubbing of foreign films on Brazilian television with the resistance to its compulsory establishment in the cinema room market, analyzing the period between 1960 and 1980, the projects of law of compulsory dubbing of foreign films both on television and in cinema.The paper analyzes the context of the time discussing the different positions of the agents involved and affected in this process.
