Resumo

Abstract The infrared laser desorption of the drug naproxen from silica thin layer chromatography (TLC) plates is described. Desorbed neutral molecules were ionized by two-photon ionization at a wavelength of 266 nm and mass spectra were recorded using a time-of-flight mass spectrometer. Particular features investigated were the sensitivity attainable and the effect of repeated irradiation of the same area of the TLC plate.
