ResumoCu–TiCx master-alloys have been produced by reaction synthesis of elemental powder mixtures. Decreasing the C/Ti ratio improved the distribution of the carbides in the master-alloy. Successful incorporation and dispersion into molten copper occurred when the C/Ti ratio in the reactants was <0.50.
